Temporary Tattoo Sleeves – Taking Your Wild Side For a Test Drive

For some, tattoos are a great way of making a clear and permanent statement to the world. Those that have a tattoo are likely to voice a desire to, at some point get another. For others, a tattoo is just so far outside of the realm of things that they would do that they never even seriously entertain the thought of having one added to their body. For those that fall somewhere in between, temporary tattoo sleeves offer a way of giving the look of being a hardcore, tatted up person with none of the pain of long term commitment that actually accompanies getting “inked”.

Temporary tattoos have been around for decades. Typically something that children enjoy wearing, there are more sophisticated versions that adults will occasionally don. Ordinarily, a temporary tattoo involves placing some sort of ink or dye or decal upon the skin's surface, which will give it the appearance of having artwork embedded in it. Temporary tattoo sleeves provide a means of covering a larger surface area with the appearance of being covered in tattoos, but are actually a garment that can be easily pulled on or off, allowing you to “apply” or remove them in seconds.

Temporary tattoo sleeves are a great way to change up your image for a day or so. Constructed of an extremely thin, translucent material, similar to ladies' nylons, the sleeves have patterns, which are often quite intricate and detailed, printed all over them. The wearer simply pulls the sleeve on, up and over the hand, as far up the arm as possible, and then dons a shirt to hide the very top edge of the sleeve. What is left is the appearance of an arm that has spent many long hours and quite a bit of expense having vibrant, detailed designs tattooed onto it.

Temporary tattoo sleeves are great for costume parties, Halloween, playing practical jokes or even just toughening up your persona. There are many great designs available, and they fit just about any size arm. Typically sold in pairs, tattoo sleeves can be worn and reused as many times as you wish, unlike other temporary tattoo options which are single use only. If you have ever dreamed of what it might be like to have a full arm of tattoos – or two – then wearing a tattoo sleeve might be a good alternative for you. With no pain and no long term commitment, they are a great way to give your mates a bit of a shock.

temporary tattoosQuestion by Pink, it's my new Obsession: What would you think if your spouse gave themselves a “Sleeve” with temporary tattoos?
My husband and son seem to think it's an awesome idea to cover their arms in Bakugan tattoos….
they crack me up.
What would you do if you came home to your spouse “sleeved out” in temporary tattoos?

I wouldn't care if my husband wanted to get a REAL sleeve, it is his body to do with as he wishes.

My sons could go the temporary route if they wanted but they would need to be 18 and be able to pay for it before they got a real one.

I always try to choose my battles wisely. I have an amazing husband and two well-mannered, intelligent teen-age sons who get great grades and who have never been in any kind of trouble…if they stay that way they can look however they want.
